UprisePDX is a newly formed Political Action Committee (#24583) registered with the Oregon Secretary of State. All of the PAC’s contributions and expenses of over $100 are documented publicly through the ORESTAR Database. The PAC was founded by longtime Political Organizer Brenna Staehle, as well as several other veteran organizers. Their goal was to draw attention to the atrocities being committed by ICE and the Trump Administration.

Eventually, the mission statement was established: Focused on countering ICE activity through organized community actions at the Portland facility and rapid-response gatherings that safeguard families at essential sites, especially local schools.

The founding organizers have been paying for the entire operation from its inception. However, now that the group has formalized and is growing rapidly, monetary, item, and labor donations will be needed to sustain and expand the PAC operations.

Some of UprisePDX’s current needs include a strong projector, a spotlight, larger speakers that can connect to others, a mixer, props, costumes, sign-making supplies, DJs, musicians, and performers, and much more.
